LAUNCH OF NEW E-LEARNING MODULES AND ASSESSMENT SUPPORT RESOURCES

We are very pleased to announce that we have developed new materials for the PLPLG website to give more support to our practice supervisors and practice assessors, especially those who are internationally educated.  This is the result of a large project involving universities and practice partners, utilising feedback from and collaborating with our internationally educated nurses and our students.

Firstly, we have a new intro section on the Learner Resources page, a new category of Prerequisite Learning and three new prerequisite e-learning modules: Essential Background, Cultural Competence and Understanding SSSA. While developed primarily for internationally educated colleagues, we highly recommend that all staff complete these modules to fill in any knowledge gaps before starting PS / PA preparation.

Secondly, we have new and updated assessment support resources that you can find on the Further Resources page. These include comprehensive guides to nursing and nursing associate proficiencies and episode of care assessments.

As you use these materials, please feel free to feedback to me, sue.quayle@uwl.ac.uk as part of our continuous improvement process.
